What is a predator? A predator is an animal that eats other animals. There are many types of predators, but the most common are:
Carnivora, which is Latin for "meat-eater". This order includes many carnivorous mammals, such as wolves, mountain lions, and grizzly bears. These animals are very diverse and include different species. The most significant difference between the sizes is between the mouse ferret, the smallest member of the team, and the elephant seal, which can weigh up to 4 tons and is one of the largest mammals.
The second major order is the order of predators. This order is divided into two suborders: canines and felines. The canines include many dogs, cats, and other pets. The felines include many cats, lions, and other wild cats.
In addition to the two major orders, there are many other groups of animals. Some of these groups are small and some are large. Some are divided into two subgroups, while others are divided into three or more subgroups. There are many groups that include only one type of animal. There are also many groups that include many different species. Some of these groups include insects, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals.
